thankful.......

.......this is why thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year.......a day to sit back and enjoy being together....and to reflect on the many blessings that come our way .......I think every day should be a thanksgiving day .....it would make our lives all the richer......

....so on that note I thought I would share a "b" family tradition that was started four years ago...... a simple linen tablecloth that gets pulled out every year for the thanksgiving meal, and after dinner we write what we are all thankful for on it.........it has already been a treat to look back on the past few years ....... there are so many things to be thankful for......

......I'm so thankful for each and every one of you, and hope you have a very happy thanksgiving!

.....signing off until monday......when I will finally be sharing my new york secret....woot....

we do something similiar and have everyone sign their name on the tablecloth and then one of us "sisters" embroiders the names in a different color thread each year. It is fun to watch the little ones printed names change each year!

I don't know if I am just missing family or a wee bit emotional but I got a little teary (in a good way) while looking over the photos of little handwritten notes on your linen tablecloth. What a beautiful tradition in every way! xoxo

What a beautiful tradition. So each year when you bring it out, you can read and remember what you were thankful for the year before. This warms my heart. Happy Thanksgiving Barb and many blessings.
