thankful.......

.......this is why thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year.......a day to sit back and enjoy being together....and to reflect on the many blessings that come our way .......I think every day should be a thanksgiving day .....it would make our lives all the richer......

....so on that note I thought I would share a "b" family tradition that was started four years ago...... a simple linen tablecloth that gets pulled out every year for the thanksgiving meal, and after dinner we write what we are all thankful for on it.........it has already been a treat to look back on the past few years ....... there are so many things to be thankful for......

......I'm so thankful for each and every one of you, and hope you have a very happy thanksgiving!

.....I have been staring at this home for a while and I just love so many of the elements in it.....my favorite being the chalkboard dining table..... the industrial lighting........mis matched chairs....and such......

....love seeing those munchkins going to town on the table........enjoy!

sanders big photoshoot.......

.....my friends....before sanders shipped off to her final home in connecticut......she was chosen by my friend TJ ....to use in one of his engagement photo shoots........I was absolutely beside myself with happiness, and you can see why ......

.....getz creative has a way with color and composition in their photos that is just beautiful to me......so the fact that he wants to start using some knackage as part of the package is happy dance inducing for this girl! :) thank you so much getz creative for these beautiful shots!

.......I am completely loving my newest book purchase....etcetera, creating beautiful interiors with the things you love. by sibella court.......full of gorgeous photos, and the colors and paper used for the book are just fantastic! {it even smells wonderful!}.......

....I highly recommend you get a copy.....{but hurry because they just came out, and amazon says they are out of print with limited availability!}....... believe me it's THAT good......

..... I have been asked to share my tools .....of the intimidating kind...so that others may find as much joy in them as I do....

....so here are the tools that I own personally , and that make my work much easier......and way more fun.....

orbital sander {we are joined at the hip!}

12 inch compound miter saw by craftsman {this is my favorite!}

pink leather work gloves {to keep those soft hands soft.......only NEVER wear when using the sanders or saws!}

pink leather tool belt {enough said}

skil jigsaw {perfect for small cuts and detail work}

porter cable staple gun {my newest, and greatest for the small craft projects such as bulletin boards}

cordless drill {need this for everything!}

pancake compressor {the wind beneath my wings!}

brad nailer { a must have for all repairs....makes popping a nail in here or there a cinch!}

.....now that isn't so bad is it?
