So lovely, but if I wanted to buy it my husband, being the do it yourselfer he is, would tell me he could just cut the legs off a finished bar stool, buy clock works and make it himself...personally, I would just buy it. He gets that from his mom, it is hard to shop with her because everytime I find something I just love she says, "Oh, that could be easily made!", but she usually can make it. (o; It is pretty, simple elegance, that's the way to go!!

that is SO cool. SO YOU! love it!
my granddad got into clock-making when he was in his late 70's. he had them aLL over his apartment & made them for all of us. he would use old records, ceramic tiles, or parquet tiles which he would cover with a theme of match books, ticket stubs, photos, old recipe cards, etc. i really miss going to his apartment & hearing just a constant stream of the "ticks". i have a soft spot in my heart for handmade clocks! :)
