JB, the shorties, and I headed out of town yesterday for a long weekend in Nashville. I knew that I would need some pretty things to look at along the way, so I packed these three books to keep me busy ....and let me tell you....I was not able to put the first one that I picked up....down. Holly Becker, who is the creative mastermind behind Decor8 just recently launched her first book, Decorate.....and it is wonderful! So much information is packed into this book, and it had me so inspired...I was furiously "writing things down" on my mental sketchpad! Every photo had me thinking of different ways to design rooms in my home, and inspired me to change out doors, add new front doors, buy more books, get new light fixtures and ....oh my word....I wanted to turn the car around and head home to get started! So much thought went into this book and it deserves every bit of the fantastic attention it is getting right now!
....and not to discount the other two books ....they are wonderful too...but I will tell you about them another day!
For now I am going to sign off until next week, and enjoy some time off with my fam. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

I wish I hadn't read this post. I am Addicted to good Decorating books. Ack, I told myself I wouldn't buy anymore, kind of like my addiction to good cook books. And that addiction, I successfully won (for about 3 months). Hope you had a great trip. The "shorties", that is hilarious. I could say that about my kids, but we are all towers. Kids, 5'10", (14), 5'1", (9),
4'10" (9). No joke. I guess my husband, 6'5" had something to do with this.
